JY Electronics Launched TT3602VL, a surge protection device specifically designed for automotive CAN applications.

In the era of rapidly developing automotive electronics, vehicle intelligence is constantly increasing. The Controller Area Network (CAN) bus, as a vital communication network in the automotive electronic system, connects numerous Electronic Control Units (ECUs), functioning as the car’s “nervous system,” responsible for the efficient transmission and exchange of information.

However, the complex electromagnetic environment in which vehicles operate means the CAN bus is constantly threatened by voltage surges. These surges can be triggered by various factors such as lightning strikes, electrical system switching, or electrostatic discharge (ESD). Once these transients penetrate the CAN bus, they are highly likely to damage sensitive electronic devices, leading to abnormal vehicle functions, and potentially endangering driving safety.

JY Electronics’s Selected Protection Solution for Automotive CAN

To meet this challenge, JY Electronics Electronics has launched the TT3602VL, a dedicated surge protection device specifically designed for automotive CAN systems. It can be widely applied to protect network nodes in various automotive systems, including engine control systems, body electronics, in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems, and lighting modules, covering networks like CAN, LIN, CAN FD, and CAN FlexRay, ensuring secure and stable communication between ECUs. Furthermore, this product can also be used for RF antenna protection. Mass production shipment for this device is currently supported.
