ADAS Systems (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) are the core competitiveness of automotive intelligence, having evolved from a high-end feature to an industry standard. Driven by policies, market demand, and technology, it is not only a key metric for automakers’ product capabilities but also serves as the crucial bridge connecting basic assistance with advanced autonomous driving, characterized by high penetration rates and rapid growth.

When ADAS systems become standard in vehicles, components like cameras, radars, and communication modules—the “precision nerves” of the system—are highly vulnerable to transient voltage and electrostatic discharge (EOS/ESD) events. Even a few nanoseconds of voltage fluctuation can lead to data loss or module failure. JY Electronics’ ESD & TVS solutions act as the “invisible armor” within the ADAS system.
Today, we will explore how JY Electronics’ ESD & TVS solutions adapt to different links from a practical application perspective, building a robust protection barrier without compromising system performance.

Power Supply End
Guarding the “First Line of Defense” from the Battery to the Load
The 12/24V automotive battery is the “energy heart” of the ADAS system. However, its power supply chain is prone to surge impacts from voltage fluctuations and sudden load changes, directly threatening the safety of core modules. To address this pain point, JY Electronics recommends the SMCJ26CA-Q or SMCJ33CA-Q TVS models, which are precisely matched for 12V or 24V power supply scenarios and meet the ISO 7637-2 and ISO 16750-2 automotive load dump tests.
Simultaneously, for different power rails with varying working voltages within the ADAS system, we offer the TS0331VD/TS0551LD/TS1251VD/TS2451LD series of protection devices. They can respond quickly and clamp dangerous voltages accurately during surges.
Signal End
The “Stabilizer” for Low and High-Speed Signals, Protection Without “Slowing Down”
Different functional modules in the ADAS have varying voltage and transmission rate requirements, so protection must not interfere with signal transmission. JY Electronics’ ESD & TVS solutions are centered on “precise adaptation,” offering “customized matching” for different links:
1.CAN Bus, In-Vehicle Ethernet: The TT2402ML is recommended. It has a working voltage of up to 24V and a junction capacitance of only 10pF. For higher voltage applications like 36V trucks, the TT3602VL can be used, with a junction capacitance as low as 2.6pF. Both can adapt to the strong electromagnetic environment of automotive buses, ensuring data remains “connected.”
2.MIPI/SPI/LVDS Links: The TT3304SP and TT0374SP-HFx are recommended. Their 4-channel design covers multi-line transmission, with junction capacitances of only 0.18pF (bidirectional) and 0.26pF (unidirectional), which does not affect the transmission rate of high-frequency signals at all. Furthermore, for 8-channel LVDS signal protection, the dedicated model TT0318TW can be used to adapt to more complex links.
3.SerDes High-Speed Transmission: The TT0561SB is recommended, with a junction capacitance as low as 0.25pF. If stricter EOS protection is required, the TS0561SB-F can be used, with a surge current of up to 12A. It can discharge ESD electrostatic charges quickly without losing the high-frequency bandwidth of the SerDes link, balancing protection performance and transmission efficiency.
4.GPS Wireless Modules: The TT0561SB / TT1821SB / TT2421SB are recommended. They cover 5V/18V/24V voltage requirements with junction capacitances of only 0.16~0.25pF and good capacitance linearity, ensuring signal transmission is not affected while withstanding outdoor electromagnetic interference.

JY Electronics’ ESD & TVS Selection Recommendations for Automotive ADAS
Why Choose JY Electronics’ TVS for ADAS?
The core answer is “ultimate adaptability.” From the power supply chain to various sensors, and from low-speed CAN buses to high-speed SerDes, the key parameters of each ESD & TVS (surge current, clamping voltage, junction capacitance, number of channels, ESD level) are precisely matched to the actual link characteristics of the ADAS:
1.Low junction capacitance ensures signals are not “distorted.”
2.Strong surge capability can withstand higher voltage impacts.
3.Low clamping voltage provides more precise protection.
4.Multi-channel design covers complex links.
5.Automotive-grade reliability adapts to the harsh environment of -40~125°C.The safety of automotive intelligent driving is hidden in the stable operation of every electronic component. JY Electronics’ ESD & TVS solutions build a solid electronic security baseline with precise protection, safeguarding every journey of intelligent driving.
