
Positioned as a B-class plug-in hybrid SUV, the Song Ultra DM-i is officially launched, featuring a smart cockpit, long range, spacious interior, and comfortable configurations.
BYD says this is the first Dynasty model equipped with the “DiDiXia” intelligent agent system. Unlike traditional passive voice assistants, the system is an AI agent with proactive interaction capabilities, offering personalized greetings, content recommendations, and voice interaction based on user habits. Users can complete tasks like finding restaurants, booking tickets, and streaming shows via natural language — even without remembering exact song or show names, fuzzy descriptions are enough to search. BYD says the system emphasizes “technology actively adapting to people,” lowering the barrier to smart features, and will be rolled out to select existing EV models via OTA updates.

In terms of range and efficiency, the new car features BYD’s 5th-generation DM technology, delivering a maximum CLTC pure electric range of 310 km and a combined range of up to 1,845 km. Depleted-battery fuel consumption is just 3.3L/100km, virtually eliminating range anxiety for long trips.
The powertrain pairs a 1.5L engine with an electric motor in a plug-in hybrid setup, producing 70 kW from the engine and 175 kW from the motor, balancing smooth driving with strong acceleration. The vehicle also features the YunNian-C intelligent damping body control system and TBC high-speed tire blowout stability system — both class-exclusive — maximizing ride quality and safety.

On configuration, the Song Ultra DM-i boasts 43 “class-leading” features, including a 16-speaker “Sky Sound” audio system and bed mode. Over 100 features come standard across all trims, with even the entry model offering 7 airbags, panoramic sunroof, electric sunshade, power tailgate, 19-inch wheels, 15.6-inch central touchscreen, power front seats, wireless charging, and a dashcam — strong value for money.
The lineup includes 5 variants: 310 km Excellence, 310 km Transcendence, 310 km Leadership, 205 km Transcendence, and 205 km Leadership. The 310 km Leadership trim, priced at 139,900 RMB, marks the first time a B-class plug-in hybrid SUV with 310 km pure electric range has entered the 130,000 RMB segment. The vehicle also supports an optional “God’s Eye B ADAS LiDAR Edition,” providing dual coverage for parking and urban navigation to meet advanced smart driving demands.
