The nubia NaviX Ultra has been officially launched, claiming the title of the world’s first “AI Agent smartphone.” Fully developed by nubia, the device features the Doubao Phone Assistant, enabling users to execute complex cross-app tasks with a single voice command. This transforms the smartphone from a tool requiring manual operation into a smart assistant that acts on the user’s behalf.

In terms of hardware, the new phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile platform. It boasts a 6.78-inch 1-144Hz LTPO 2.0 adaptive refresh rate display with 4,500-nit peak brightness and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The camera setup features a 200MP main lens paired with a 50MP ultrawide and a 64MP periscope telephoto. Measuring just 7.62mm thick, the device houses a 7,100mAh 5th-gen South Sea battery supporting 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging, complemented by a 7,100m² 3D VC cooling system.

As its core highlight, the phone debuts the consumer version of the Doubao Phone Assistant. It is underpinned by four core capabilities: deep reasoning, cross-app generalization, proactive exploration with error correction, and ultra-long context adherence, achieving an end-to-end task success rate of over 80%. The device introduces the industry’s first standalone AI button with an integrated fingerprint scanner. Powered by the Seed full-duplex voice model, it supports interruption during conversations, continuous dialogue, and recognition of over ten regional dialects. Notably, its AI wake-up rate and sentence accuracy in noisy environments significantly outperform competitors. Additionally, it supports multimodal on-screen Q&A and camera-based video call interactions.

For ecosystem services, the phone integrates various third-party services, allowing users to directly trigger tasks like ride-hailing and schedule checking via voice, with support for background silent execution. Other notable features include recording minutes integrated with Feishu Minutes, screen-aware shopping, and AI call answering. The device also deeply learns personal preferences, supporting manual memory and natural language search for local data. Regarding privacy and security, nubia is the first terminal manufacturer to complete the filing for an AI agent large model, building a full-link security system ranging from lock screen permission controls to multiple international safety certifications.
