Huawei officially launched its flagship foldable notebook, the HUAWEI MateBook Fold ULTIMATE DESIGN, featuring an 18-inch double-layer OLED folding screen and HarmonyOS 6.1, achieving comprehensive breakthroughs in appearance, interaction, and performance.

In terms of appearance, the new model offers three color options, including Sky White, with the thinnest part of the unfolded body measuring just 7.3mm. It pioneeringly introduces a hidden bracket hinge and a waterdrop hinge made of zirconium-based liquid metal material, supporting a stepless suspension range of 100° to 120° and automatic flattening, balancing stability and portability.

The intelligent handwriting feature is the core highlight of this generation. Huawei has developed a native handwriting pen solution that supports writing on the 18-inch large screen in spread-out or split-screen modes, with the pen body equipped with functions such as far-field air mouse and laser pointer. On the software side, Huawei Notes and Born to Paint have made their debut on the Hongmeng PC, equipped with capabilities like panoramic smart notes and over a thousand brush types. Additionally, the Xiaoyi AI Assistant has been upgraded to support edge-side offline meeting records, AI face swap forgery detection, and edge-side Agent intelligent task execution, prioritizing both security and efficiency.

In terms of the screen, the device is equipped with the world’s largest 18-inch double-layer OLED screen, boasting a resolution of 3.3K and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. The double-layer OLED + LTPO technology achieves a 30% improvement in energy efficiency and a threefold increase in lifespan, combined with 40μm ultra-thin UTG glass, significantly enhancing impact resistance.

The battery life and communication capabilities are equally impressive. The 75Wh battery supports up to 14 hours of high-definition video playback and is equipped with 140W Super Fast Charging Turbo. In terms of communication, it debuts with a 3D bracket antenna, showcasing excellent Wi-Fi signal performance, with a 5G networking distance reaching 1 kilometer, and supports a “signal power bank.” The entire machine supports various forms such as horizontal screen and folding, collaborating with partners to customize dual-screen applications, reshaping mobile productivity.
