JY Electronics has recently launched the TS1501SA-W, a high-speed signal surge protection device for Type-C fast charging interfaces. Utilizing the latest ultra-low capacitance platform and advanced packaging technology, this product achieves protection for ultra-high-speed signal lines. It is suitable for the surge protection of high-speed signal lines such as USB 2.0/3.1/3.2, HDMI 2.0/2.1, and NFC. It finds extensive application in mobile phones, computers, gaming consoles, monitors, wearable devices, TWS earbuds, and IoT modules, and is currently available for mass shipment.
TS0321TB-Fx Product Highlights
01. Ultra-Small Package
Utilizing advanced Chip Scale Packaging (CSP) technology, it features an ultra-small package size of DFN0603-2L (0.6mm * 0.3mm * 0.3mm), maximizing PCB space savings.
02. Fast Charging Compatible Breakdown Voltage
USB fast charging technology predominantly employs Type-C interfaces, where the small spacing between adjacent pins makes short circuits likely. For instance, VBUS may accidentally bridge Tx1/Rx1 or Tx2/Rx2. To prevent the TVS on signal lines from being burnt out due to a short circuit caused by elevated VBUS voltage, the breakdown voltage of the TVS needs to be increased. TS1501SA-W has a minimum breakdown voltage of 16V, making it safely applicable to 9V/12V/15V Type-C fast charging interfaces.
03. Ultra-Low Capacitance
With a capacitance as low as 0.45pF (VR=0V, f=1MHz), it ensures the integrity of high-speed signals.
04. Excellent Surge Protection
Relying on the company’s exclusive patented technology, the product possesses robust anti-surge capability, capable of rapidly clamping transient overvoltage to a safe level. Under 8/20μs waveform test conditions, the clamping voltage reaches 6.6V @ 20A.
05. Superior ESD Protection Capability
It can withstand shocks of 30kV contact discharge and 30kV air discharge under IEC 61000-4-2 standard testing, effectively preventing circuit damage caused by static electricity.
06. Ultra-High Cutoff Frequency
The measured -3dB cutoff frequency of a single device reaches 9GHz, making it adaptable to the vast majority of signal line application scenarios on the market.
